A mystical figure dances with flowing wings and glowing hands against a dark, swirling background. Text reads "Spirit Dancer," number 36.

Dear Friend,

This time of year carries a particular kind of intensity — the long days, the full light, the pull toward doing and blooming. And yet, here we are, first quarter moon, in that space-between: not quite beginning, not yet full. A threshold. A place where integration is needed. Where the fire of life meets the quiet of home.

This month I find myself at one of those thresholds too. Having just moved house, I’m feeling the tenderness and complexity of new beginnings — the desire to land and rest, and the honest messiness that comes with change. I recently drew the oracle card of Hestia, keeper of hearth and home, and her presence reminded me: it is through small rituals and simple presence that we find our way home to ourselves.

In the mythic and energetic realms, Hestia holds the sacred flame at the center of the home. She is the guardian of simplicity, warmth, and presence. Her wisdom invites us inward — to listen for what truly sustains us, to tend what matters most, and to create an inner sanctuary that nourishes the outer world. She whispers: “You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to return. The fire still burns within you.” This month, she arrives as our oracle — asking us not to seek more, but to tend what is already here.

In truth, I’m learning (again) that integration doesn’t mean having it all sorted. It means allowing space for all of it — the beauty, the overwhelm, the longing for support. It means tending the hearth within.

And so I find myself asking:

How do we care for ourselves at the thresholds of life?

What kind of tending do we most need right now?

A Daily Practice: Tending the Hearth Within

To begin, I invite you to take a breath and enter this simple invocation to Hestia — an offering to the part of you that longs to feel held and home.

Invocation of Hestia – Keeper of the Hearth

O Hestia, Flame of the Sacred Center,

Keeper of warmth, stillness, and returning —

Bless this threshold of becoming.

Help me tend the inner fire with gentleness,

To find home not in perfection,

But in presence.

May your quiet light guide me to what matters most,

And may I rest in the knowing

That I belong.

If you feel called to deepen into this field of self-tending and inner belonging, here are a few invitations:

Nourishment Retreat with Sophie Jauncey  – July 13thA day to soften, ground, and receive the wisdom of summer through movement, nature, reflection and ritual.

Womb Surround Process Group with Lin Vermeiren  – August 6–10For those drawn to pre and perinatal healing, this 5-day small group immersion offers a profound space to explore early imprints, relational dynamics, and pathways toward embodied repair. A rare opportunity to journey deeply with the roots of your being.

Passages of Wisdom & Grace with Sophie Jauncey – Begins September 27thA 9-month sacred journey that supports women through the transformative experience of menopause, honouring it as a rite of passage rather than just a biological stage. This journey encourages shedding the old and embracing deeper truths, focusing on remembrance, reclamation, and returning to the sovereignty and wholeness that is inherently yours.

One to One SessionsIf you’re navigating transitions, longing for deeper connection with yourself, or curious about somatic work, I offer personalised support sessions tailored to your unique path. Sometimes we just need a safe space to land, breathe, and remember who we are.

If any of these call to you, feel free to reach out — I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

P.S. A Note on Caring For Ourselves

I am being interviewed on the Mothering Me podcast, where we’ll have a gentle and insightful conversation exploring how we care for ourselves in deeper, truer ways — especially amidst the roles we hold and the histories we carry. If this theme speaks to you, you might enjoy listening when you have a quiet moment. (I’ll share the link once it’s live.)

Wishing you warmth, rest, and the quiet strength of your own hearth fire,

With love,

Fayenen
